OXFORD -- A stock car racer died when his car slammed into a retaining wall at the track Wednesday night.
Oxford police say 38 year old Charles Webster of Auburn was killed in one of the races in the New England Dodge dealers Speed Week Series.
Police say Webster hit a wall. He was pulled from his car and taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway where he was pronounced dead.
